The Norway Spruce tree (Picea abies) is a large, fast-growing evergreen, which is native to Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe. As the Norway Spruce is widely grown in Europe and the UK it is the original Christmas Tree!! The needles are prone to dropping but if you keep your tree well-watered throughout the festivities this can help.
